Get Involved

We’ll post ways you can get involved in innovative AI projects at the University and to join community conversations.

AI Conversations Microsoft Team

If you’re a student, faculty, or staff member of the University, please join AI Conversations, a campus-wide Microsoft Teams community to foster conversations about adopting and evolving AI tools for research, teaching and learning, and administration.

Anyone at the University can join and participate in this AI community of practice where we can share experiences, ideas, and announcements about available tools, relevant policies, and exciting new use cases.

UT Learning & Development AI Resources

Visit UTL&D AI Resources page regularly to catch events they hold, and then spend time exploring all the resources they’ve curated and check back often.

What AI tools are you hearing about?

AI technology is advancing rapidly, with new tools emerging to cover different use cases. To help us better understand the needs of The University of Texas at Austin community, please share your discoveries and explorations in the AI Conversations community team.

Request a Vendor Risk Assessment

AI products must have an active university contract in place and have a vendor security assessment completed by the Information Security Office (ISO) before it can be used with any non-public University data. If you are contemplating using a private generative AI tool or aren’t sure if your use case is covered, contact the ISO.

Contact ISO for a vendor risk assessment or consultation
